SB 8, other special session bills, signed by governor

Governor Rick Perry signed into law Senate Bill 8 and seven other bills that passed during the special legislative session.

Other special session bills that are now officially law include SB 1, which contains the school finance provisions that will distribute reduced funding to Texas public schools; and SB 6, which revises the funding and procedures for purchasing textbooks.
