When you join TCTA, your dues remain in Texas, where they support Texas teachers and public schools. To receive member benefits, you must be eligible for TCTA membership and join in the appropriate membership category.

Membership enrollment is now closed for 2016-17, but we invite you to return to tcta.org this summer to join for the 2017-18 school year!
If you have any questions, call the Membership Department at 888-879-8282.

This complimentary TCTA membership provides full access to all TCTA programs and services, including TCTA’s legal team and professional liability insurance coverage for the semester(s) of required student teaching that have been designated by the student member on the membership application submitted to TCTA.

Effective date of coverage: TCTA regrets that we are unable to provide legal services for issues arising prior to the effective date of membership. Your membership and professional liability insurance coverage (if provided for your membership category) become effective when your completed membership application and full payment, or a signed payroll deduction authorization and required payments, are received at TCTA headquarters. Membership with TCTA is subject to the terms of benefits as defined on the membership application.

Liability insurance: The coverage included with membership for Active, Associate and Student members is provided by Scottsdale Insurance Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Nationwide®, one of the largest insurance and financial service providers in the United States with an A.M. Best Rating of A+XV (superior). The coverage is provided through a purchasing group, and the insurer may not be subject to all insurance laws and regulations of the state.
