Become a faculty representative

Although it’s not a time-consuming role, there is no more important way to get involved in TCTA than by becoming a TCTA faculty representative. Our FRs serve as campus leaders — liaisons between the TCTA members on their campuses and TCTA headquarters in Austin. FRs distribute membership materials and open up a line of communication that allows our organization to more efficiently and effectively reach out to our members across Texas. For more information on becoming a faculty rep for your campus, just fill out the form below.

Host a TCTA event

TCTA events are a fun way for you and your colleagues to get to know each other. Hosting an event can be as simple as inviting your colleagues to an ice cream social in the teachers’ lounge or spreading the word on campus that TCTA members should wear teal every week for “TCTA Teal Tuesday”! We have tons of ideas for events that will help bring TCTA members together and make TCTA more visible on your campus. To learn more, simply fill out the form below. One of our membership coordinators will be in touch.

Start a TCTA chapter in your district

Being part of a local TCTA chapter increases TCTA members’ leadership opportunities, both locally and at the state level, and gives these leaders the opportunity to participate in a host of special events that often include meal functions, guest speakers and even continuing professional education credit. If you want more information about how to start a TCTA chapter in your district, please fill out the form below.
